The New Panathinaikos F.C. Stadium represents a landmark development in the heart of Athens. Located in Votanikos, this project aims to revitalize a historically underdeveloped district. The complex will feature a 40,000-seat football stadium, an athletic center for the Panathinaikos Multisport Club, commercial spaces, a sports park, an ecological green park, and parking facilities, forming a multifunctional destination that blends sport, recreation, and urban life.
The stadium is conceived as a perfectly rounded geometry—a sculptural volume that deliberately avoids conventional visual scale cues, creating a bold. All spectator areas are fully sheltered under a three-dimensional dynamic roof, designed to integrate photovoltaic panels and support the project’s sustainable ambitions.
As facade engineering experts, F-NOUS is responsible for engineering the stadium’s external façade system. Our scope includes the implementation of perforated tensile structures, which sculpt the exterior geometry and enable controlled natural ventilation, daylighting, and visual permeability.
Our engineering approach ensures that the envelope meets the highest standards of durability, structural performance, and maintainability, while enhancing the stadium’s architectural identity and user experience.
